We’ve been helping kids nationally and internationally for  years. Nexus is recognized as the pioneer in the development of advanced ABA intervention for more able youngsters. Programming at this level is very complicated and requires intervention quite different from that which is required for youngsters with more severe autism.  At Nexus, we  build systematic language and cognitive-based intervention programs. Our comprehensive and unique treatment system takes children from the point of diagnosis and carries them all the way to mainstreaming.

It should go without saying that Nexus uses the methods of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) when treating children with autism spectrum disorders because of the simple fact that no other treatment method is as effective or efficient. We know that when behavior analysis is applied precisely, flexibly, and creatively, the sky is the limit.

It  should also be stated that while ABA is ‘a given’ for any effective treatment, comprehensive treatment requires much more than the application of ABA.  At Nexus, we have developed a thoroughly comprehensive treatment paradigm. The Nexus approach first establishes essential foundational competencies in attention, pre-language and basic language skills and concepts. Nexus technology then comprehensively integrates these competencies so that higher order relations and competencies emerge.  These new relations allow for further systematic treatment directed toward the development of still higher order competencies in verbal reasoning, inferential reasoning and social cognition (building a “theory of mind”) — all skills a child needs for successful social and academic integration.
